PROCYON comes from the first-magnitude star Procyon in the constellation Canis Major. It was designed with an unprecedented new form and color, based on the concept of a fountain pen that attracts attention and can be used as an accent in business settings and daily life.

In 2019, PROCYON won the “Japan Stationery Awards Functional Category Grand Prix.” The new colors “Shadow Mica” and “Carmine Red” are the familiar black and red colors, respectively, but have been treated with a special coating that gives them a particle-like shine and a smooth feel. PROCYON is equipped with a “Slip & Seal Mechanism” that allows you to write smoothly at any time and a uniquely designed pen’s feeder “Last Drop Mechanism” that allows you to inhale every last drop.

The metal body with an optimal weight balance design and pentagonal aperture nib stimulate the joy of writing, while the surface treatment with a focus on tactility stimulates the joy of holding.


The flexible pentagon-shaped large nib :

In 1962, Platinum Pen launched Japan’ s first fountain pen that employed a pentagon- shaped gold nib. The same production know-how for such a pen nib is also applied in the PROCYON fountain pen. Its resiliency realizes a writing feel similar to that of a gold nib in spite of being made with stainless steel.
